Ahhh....to be a woman. There is such a wealth of information for women on the web. And a lot of it comes from women-themed blogs; women blogging about women's issues with and for other women. Makes you wonder how they get anything else done with all the blogging they do. My theory: they are doing it at work. Blogging instead of working like they are suppose to....and then they bitch that they get paid 70 cents for each dollar a man gets paid.
Sure, there are a few manly related blogs out there, but it it's like comparing breast cancer to prostate cancer media coverage, research funding and other hoopla....you know who comes out on the short end of the stick of that contest. That's where this blog comes in. It is meant to be a forum for men to discuss manly things like cars, sports, guns, sex, crazy bitches they have dated and other aspects of the lost art of being a man.
In particular this is a blog about being a man in middle age. Mainly because, face it, we are in a weird spot. We were brought up to be men in a society that is rapidly feminizing its younger male population and has lost its appreciation for real men. So while we are being attacked by society on one side we are struggling to stave off the degrading effects time and aging has on our manly attributes and abilities. It's a tough time to a man and middle-aged.
A couple of rules:
1. No political or religious rants. That's what Facebook is for.
2. No nude pics of you or your junk. Feel free to send nude pics of your wife, girlfriend, or sister to my private e-mail account.
3. Keep it brief and to the point.
4.Remain respectful. Unless you are discussing one of the aforementioned "crazy bitches you have dated."
5. Share your experiences. We are all grappling with the same issues. How are you handling them?
If you are a woman and happened upon this blog by mistake you are going to be offended. Spare me the misogynist labeling, there are plenty of blogs and water cooler talk trashing men. We call 'em like we see 'em on this blog.....take it like a woman. And you know you like the bad boys...well, you found one.
Let the blogging begin!
